There are some physical issues that both boys and men face with their penis, one such issue is Hidden or Buried Penis. In this case, the male has a normal sized penis but it is hidden or concealed under the skin of abdomen, scrotum or thighs. This has a deep-seated effect on the person’s mental health, which may continue for a long time. As a result of a hidden penis, people may not be able to fulfill their sexual desires, due to which they suffer from depression.
Causes
A hidden penis might be caused due to some abnormalities during birth. Another cause may be morbid obesity, a condition where excessive fat around the abdomen and genital area hides the penis.
This may also be a result of medical conditions, mainly radical prostatectomy, which can decrease the size of the penis to about an inch.
Complications
The biggest complication for people who suffer from a hidden penis is that men can only urinate in sitting positions.
Men may also find difficulty in having penetrative sex which can cause problems in relationships. Men can also experience frequent infections and chronic inflammations as a result of this issue.
Diagnosis & Treatment
There is no medical treatment for this issue. Doctors suggest losing weight, as a hidden penis can be a result of obesity. Doctors may also suggest surgery as a viable option to treat this issue.
